The Advisory Council was established to provide appropriate inputs to the Dean, faculty and staff in their endeavour to develop the institute and build up its reputation in this industrial sector. The Council members are comprised of respected and highly accomplished individuals drawn from the corporate and academic spheres, whose presence brings credibility to the institute.
Council members advise the Dean, faculty and staff on strategy planning and guide them on issues concerning future development, curriculum design, programmes and external matters. The experience brought on board by Council members provides insights on ways to improve the services offered by the school to various stakeholders. Additionally, the Council will facilitate faculty in making contacts within the retail and supply chain industry for research purposes.
For students, the Advisory Council, being partly drawn from the business world, offers industry contacts for future employment. Its inputs are also invaluable in establishing systems to assess the institute’s progress and to chalk out future programmes.
